How it all began
Goodbye, Hello was first created by Selina, the life design coach of the duo, nine years ago to help herself, her clients and friends make the most of the new year.
She was taken aback at how powerful people found it to be (including herself) and how much people seemed to be sharing it with family and friends all around the world.
Year on year she watched its popularity and reach spread across the globe as people shared it with friends and family at Christmas each year, bringing with it wonderful stories of how the guide helped people bring about positive change and design lives they loved, from individuals wanting to make the most out of life, to school kids, to couples wanting to create a life they love together, to women from a homeless shelter in New York.
As she watched the power of this end-of-year/new year ritual, she started to dream of turning Goodbye Hello into a beautifully designed prompted journal that people could fill in and keep on their book shelf, watching their collection of Goodbye, Hello’s grow over the years, keeping a record of their lives and the dreams they created year on year.
And so in 2017, Selina and Vicki decided it was time to bring this dream to life. They ran a crowdfunding campaign to fund the project and hit 150% of their crowdfunding Kickstarter goal in just one month and Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018 ended up flying out all over the world to people in over 32 countries.
In 2018 their dream was to get Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019 onto the UK highstreet and into the mainstream press.
The Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019 journal was sold in Oliver Bonas stores all over the country and it was featured in Red magazine, the Independent, the Pool and Selina was invited onto Emma Gannon’s award-winning podcast to talk about the journal and designing a life you love.
At the start of 2019 the dream was to team up with a publisher so that Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 can get into even more hands and onto shop shelves all over the UK and beyond.
And guess what, that dream has came true!
We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Pavilion publishers to help us get the Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 journal into shops all over the UK and beyond!
